Same Sex Ceremonies

I was extremely lucky to grow up in the 70’s and 80’s in a family with an open-mindedness that was rare of that era. With gay and lesbian friends and family always a part of my life I found the Australian Governments decision to change the Marriage Act in 2017, overwhelming and long over-due.

The Ceremony we create together will encapture your love and its power to survive through all that life brings. Your ceremony will be created to tell the story of your love and the journey you have taken to be standing together on your wedding day.

I have examples of wording for all parts of the ceremony as well as sample Vows to help you choose or I can help you write your own. We will talk about the many ideas and options we have to make your ceremony something truly memorable for you and your guests. Our first meeting is always obligation free, however if you decided to choose me as your celebrant from that meeting, I will have a Notice of Intended Marriage ready to complete to book in your date. This form is the first of the legal paperwork needed and is required to be completed between 18 months and 1 month of the wedding date. I only book one wedding a day. This mean’s a lot less stress for both you and me. I have nowhere else to be and no other focus on ‘your’ wedding day. I am always free for a coffee and cake, or something a little more social, and a good chat.
